- Free prostate cancer screenings will be available from 4 to 9 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday) in the Center for Training and Development room on the second floor of the Detrick Building at Christian Hospital, at the Interstate 270-Highway 367 interchange.

Additional free prostate cancer screenings will be offered on specific days in September on the Diabetes Busters mobile unit. They also will be available at the Men's Health Breakfast on Sept. 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Northwest HealthCare. Breakfast will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

To register for a free screening or the Men's Breakfast, call 314-747-WELL.- The American Heart Association will host a free Search Your Heart training workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the association's office, 460 N. Lindbergh Blvd.

This workshop will introduce participants to Search Your Heart and share strategies for program implementation and success.

Search Your Heart is a community-based heart health and a stroke prevention program geared toward churches. It is culturally designed to educate at-risk African-Americans and Latinos about the causes, symptoms and prevention of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
